The Heritage House aims to preserve and revive the material and non-material cultural heritage from the Notranjska region, with specific emphasis on the outskirts of the Cerknica lake. The most resounding project has to be the revival and the transfer of the drevak lake boat making skill, along with traditional flax-weaving, folk music and storytelling traditions, the old photographs of which feature on the back of the correspondence letter ant the rest of the material. The Herritage House was awarded EU Prize for Cultural Heritage, Europa Nostra Award in 2017.
